Introduction
Personal care items are used everyday by Muslims, mostly externally. Nevertheless, some of these products are not permissible due to the ingredients used in their production. In the list that follows we have divided these items by category and have listed the brands that are suitable for use by Muslims. items which are not considered suitable are those containing ingredients derived from the pig or other animals/insects whose use is considered as prohibited by Islamic Law (Shariah), as well as products containing ingredients derived from tissues of human beings. As far as possible details are provided on products which may be vegetarian in nature or otherwise.
