Distributing interest from fixed deposit.
Q. Is it haram to accept interest generated from a fixed deposit or any other account and distribute it to charity?
A. It is not permissible to distribute interest money with the intention of charity. It should be given out with the intention of getting out of one’s possession and not that of charity.
