The meat of Dolphin.
Q. Is the meat of Dolphin halal to eat, or is this considered Carrion also?
A. With respect to Dolphins, the three Imams, namely Imam Malik, Imam Shafi and Imam Ahmad have stated that all animals that are fully aquatic and can live only in water and not out of water are all lawful. Hence, according to them dolphin will be permissible.
Imam Abu Hanifa however, has considered only the fish to be permissible and not other marine animals. In view of this, dolphin is not permissible since it is not a fish.
