Having a surrogate mother.
Q. Is the use of a surrogate mother allowed if the sperm and egg belong to the husand and wife but due to medical reasons the wife is unable to carry the child?
A. Surrogacy or having a Surrogate mother is not allowed in Islam. It is totally illegal in Islam to introduce into a woman the sperm of a man other than her husband.
Even though (in the above mentioned case), it is the sperm and egg of the husband and wife, yet, it still brings about the fusion of a stranger’s sperm into the ovum of a woman (that is, the would-be surrogate mother) who is not known to be the wife of the husband. This is totally haram/forbidden in Islam.
And Allah knows best.
