The Prophet (S.A.W) Being Known As Ahmad
Question: Hazrath Isa Alihis Salam said that he had come to give the glad tidings of a prophet whose name will be Ahmed. He did not say Mohammed. Where as he peace be upon him was known to people as Muhammad not Ahmed. Could it be just Allah s plan to keep events a secret?

Assalamu Alaikum,
Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) was known both by the names Ahmad and Muhammad. The people in Makka and Madina at that time, from among the Muslims, Jews and Christians all knew this. It is for this reason Christian and Jewish Scholars accepted Islam from the hands of the Prophet (s.a.w), because they knew he was ‘Ahmad’ and the ‘promised one’ who was mentioned in their scriptures. There was no secret about this. This was known to everyone until today.
