What is the ruling of Basmallah in Salaah?

Assalamu Alaikum

What is the fiqh for saying the basmallah. if I were to join 2 surah in one rakat for example Ikhlas and Falaq do I say bismillah before I start Falaq and if I do say it, do I say it aloud or can I say it silently?

Wa Alaikum Assalaam,

الجواب و بالله التوفيق

If you join two Surahs in one Rakaat, you would recite the basmallah ( that is, Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem) before the second Surah also, just as you did before reciting the first Surah. In this case, you will say it silently.
