QUESTION:
As Salaamu Alaikum,
I understand that falsely requesting a refund — like claiming an online order wasn’t delivered when it actually was — is usually haram because it’s deceitful. But what if the seller is a multinational company that openly supports Zionism and funds actions against Muslims, especially in Gaza?
Would the ruling still apply the same way in this case?

ANSWER:
Wa Alaikum As Salaam,
Claiming an online order was not delivered when it actually was, is lying which is totally Haram in Islam, and falsely requesting a refund is deceitfulness which is also Haram. Even though the seller may be a non-Muslim and may openly support Zionism, and funds action against Muslims, yet, it is not permissible to lie or deceive them. If you wish to express/show dislike for what they do, you should not purchase from them or do business with them.
