My question is that did I commit Kufr because I did NOT warn him

Question:

Assalamu Alaykum,

There was a person at my workplace who said jokingly that such and such is Haram. I knew that this act can render ones Imaan invalid.

However, I DID NOT tell the person that what he did is Kufr. Of course, I hate the statement he made, but I did not warn him that what he did was Kufr, since it was a mockery of an element of belief.

My question is that did I commit Kufr because I did NOT warn him about the Kufr he commited?

Answer:

Wa Alaikum As Salaam,

1) By not warning him about his action is not Kufr on your part.

2) If you spoke to the brother afterwards, and did not tell him about his action, then you have not fallen into Kufr. You should tell him at the earliest opportunity.
