Is it permissible to read any duas inside the ghusul area during bathing?
Question:
Asalamualaikum.
Suppose the bathroom(ghusul area) is separated from the toilet area by walls on all 4 sides but not the top(the top of ghusul area is bara) then is it permissible to read any duas inside this ghusul area during bathing or when clothes are not on or when clothes are still on?
Answer:
Wa Alaikum As Salaam,
Due to the fact that the ghusul area is one in which impurities are washed (while bathing) and one is normally without clothing, the scholars have stated that in this condition, one should not recite duas or zikr of Allah- even though this area is seperated from the toilet.
