Can a person read from the Mushaf and lead Taraweeh?
Assalamu Alaikum Mufti. Ramadhan Mubarak. I am enquiring on the permissibility of an Imam leading the tarareew salaat by reading from the holy Quran. Is it allowed to pray behind such an Imam? Jazak Allah Khair

Imam Abu Hanifah (A.R) mentions that this is not permissible. Doing this will invalidate one’s Salaat, hence, it will not be permissible to pray behind such an Imam.
