QUESTION:

As Salaamu Alaikum,

I have a one year old toddler so i wanted to know when ramadhan comes can i take him with me to the masjid to break fast and part take in Taraweeh?

 ANSWER:

Wa Alaikum As Salaam,

If you know that your one year old toddler will remain quiet in the masjid and will not be a means of distraction and disturbance to those who are performing salah, then you can take him to the masjid. However, if it is feared that he may cry, become noisy or run about in the masjid which will be an interruption and disturbance to those who are performing salah, then you must not take him to the masjid.
