Clearing the hair from certain areas of the body
Question:
Is it obligatory for man or woman to clear the hair around the back passage? Also while cleaning the hair, does one have to clean or shave completely or will it be okay if some small hairs are left specially in the area where it is hard to shave?

Muslim men and women should remove the hair around their private parts and the back passage.
It is mustahab or commendable to do this weekly, preferably on the day of Friday. If, for some reason this is not possible, then it should be done once every 15 days. To delay in this beyond 40 days is makrooh tahreemi ( prohibitively disliked).

If it is difficult to shave certain areas, then hair removing creams may be used.
