How is it that you all do not debate with these people who go against you all, and you leave them alone.

 Answer

First of all, I must make it clear to you that we do not debate with anyone.

Secondly, we do not attack people or organizations, and we do not deal with personalities. We do not pinpoint names and organizations.

Thirdly, we do not go on a ‘hunting campaign’, looking for the mistakes and statements of other people, and then attack them.

Our Institute is fully educational, and our business is only education. We do not ‘meddle’ in the politics and ‘ole talk’ of others.

What you hear from us, or read from our articles and answers, are strictly educational. These responses and explainations are based on the questions which were asked, and explanations which were needed. As such, you will not find people’s names or organizations on our answers and articles. If people ask for an Islamic ruling, we give our Islamic Ruling. If they ask for explainations we give explainations, and if they ask for clarifications, we also give clarifications. We do not go about looking at what others may write or say, and then write articles or give answers. We deal only with that which is addressed to us.

With respect to the names of the persons you have quoted, no one has asked us for a clarification, explaination or an Islamic ruling on what they have written or what they have said. We also, do not listen to what these individuals or others talk about. If someone brings anything to our attention which needs a clarification, then we give our explainations without any motive of ‘bashing’ anyone. Our objective will always be to present the true teachings of Islam and also to clarify different issues.

You must know very well that what you read on our webpage, are all based on the questions that came to the Darul Ifta for answers. If you have any question about anything, you are also welcome to send your questions to the Darul Uloom.

I wish to make my point clear, again that we have no problem with anyone. We bear no hatred, malice or ill feeling against any person, (scholar, non-scholar) or organization. We are not interested in names and people. Our only concern is that the true teachings of Islam be propagated. In this regard, we will continue to answer questions based on the true teachings of Islam. If anyone feels offended in this approach, we are sorry,  however, we mean no disrespect to anyone .

Those who wish to speak ill of the Darul Uloom or against the scholars of Islam, we leave them in the hands of Allah. He will decide their fate. However, if people ask us for clarifications and explainations, or they ask about statements that were made, then we will certainly give our full explainations on the issue. If people do not bring anything to our attention, then it is difficult to find out what others have said. In this way, we will be unable to provide an explaination since we have no knowledge of an issue and no one has asked about it.
