Du’as at the Time of Breaking the Fast
Du’a at the Time of Breaking the Fast:
Mu’adh ibn Zuhrah reported: The Prophet of Allah (ﷺ) used to say when he broke his fast:
Allah Humma Laka Sumtu Wa Alaa Rizqiqa Aftartu
O Allah, I fasted for You, and with Your sustenance I completed my fast. (Abu Dawood)
The Saying at the Time of Breaking the Fast
Marwan ibn Salim al-Muqaffa’ (May Allah be pleased with him) reported that, I saw Ibn Umar holding his beard with his hand and cutting what exceeded the handful of it. He (Ibn Umar) said that the Prophet (ﷺ) said when he broke his fast:
Dha ha badh-dha ma-u wab tal-latil ‘u-ruu qu wa thabatal ajru in shaa Allaah
Thirst has gone, the arteries are moist, and the reward is sure, if Allah wills. (Abu Dawood)

Du’a After Breaking the Fast
‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr bin ‘As reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“When the fasting person breaks his fast, his supplication is not turned back.” (One of the narrators) Ibn Abi Mulaikah said: When he broke his fast, I heard Abdullah bin Amr say:
Allah Humma Inni As aluka Bi Rahmatika Al Lati Wasi At Kulla Shayin An Tagfirali
O Allah, I ask You by Your mercy which envelops all things, that You forgive me. (Ibn Majah)
