FAMILY MATTER
As Salaamu Alaikum,
Is it allowed in Islam for your parents to tell you that you are not allowed to go by certain family members just because they have problems with them or don’t get along?
Wa Alaikum As Salaam,
Generally, it is not allowed for parents to stop you from going to another family members because they have problems with them, seeing that this will cause you to sever family times. However, if it is feared that such family members can encourage you into wrongdoings or may cause you to break good relation with your parents, then you should avoid visiting such family members.
