Can a Muslim woman go to a mixed gym with a female friend without any Mahram?
ANSWER:
Wa Alaikum As Salaam,
It is totally impermissible for a Muslim woman to go to a mixed gym, whether it is with a female friend or even with a Mahram.
The mixed gym accommodates the open mingling and mixing of the sexes and this is totally prohibited in Islam. Also, the manner of dress adopted by males and especially the females at these gyms, are also totally against the teachings of Islam, and it is not permissible for Muslim men and women to be in such places.
