MARRIAGE TO ONES DECEASED (GRANDFATHER) WIFE
As Salaamu Alaikum,
Question:
Can a man marry his deceased grandfather’s wife if his grandfather did not consummate the marriage with her before his death?

Answer:
Bismillahi wa billahi At Tawfeeq
No, a man cannot marry the legally wedded wife of his grandfather, even if they never consummated their marriage.
