Why Muslims cannot have pictures with eyes in their homes?
Answer:
The Islamic ruling regarding pictures is that it is not permissible for a Muslim to have pictures of animate objects in their homes. This prohibition is on account of the sound and authentic Ahadith (Tradition) which mention that the Prophet of Allah (SAW) said: ‘Angels do not enter a house in which there is a dog or there are pictures’. The word used in the Hadith is ‘Tasweer’ which in Arabic refers to pictures of living things.
