Is There A Necessity To Unplait The Hair When Performing Wudhu?

Question: Assalamu alaikum,

I would like to know when I am making Wudu if my hair is plated should I unplait it and then proceed, or can I make wudu over it?
Answer:

Wa Alaikum As Salaam,’

You do not have to unplait it, you can make Masah over it while doing wudhu. In this case you will make masah (do wiping with the hands) over the hair on the head. You do not have to make masah on the hanging hair.
