Performing Hajj while in the Iddah period.
Question:
A woman’s husband passed away and she is presently in the iddah (waiting period) due to the death. However her sons are undertaking the Hajj pilgrimage and wishes to take the mother with them. Three months have already passed in her iddah and she wants to know if she can go on this Hajj trip with her sons even though she is still in her iddah?
Answer:
In the above mentioned case, it will not be permissible for the mother to undertake the Hajj trip. She must first complete her iddah period and may then undertake the trip with a Mahram.
