Ruling Of Iddah After Three Issued Talaaqs During Which One Has Relations With Same Ex Husband’

Question: Assalamu Alaikum Mufti Saaheb, I have a small inquiry. We know that Iddah is Fardh after Talaaq. so in the case of a woman who is in Iddah after 3 divorces were given to her, if she then happens to commit fornication with the same Guy who divorced her 3 times, does she have to start over her Full period of Iddah, or does she continue from where it was.

Answer:

Wa Alaikum As Salaam,

She will continue the iddah from where it was. She does not have to start over. (Fatawa Alamgiri Vol.2 pg. 161- Fatawa Raheemiya Vol 8 pg 414 Darul Ishaa’at Karachi Pakistan 2009).
