What is the ruling for removing the hair over the nose (Uni-brow)?
As Salaamu Alaikum,
Q: In Islam I know that plucking or shaving or shaping the eyebrows is Haram. But what is the ruling on removing the hair over the nose (unibrow) for a female as it is very thick and unsightly and makes one look unfeminine and makes one have low self-esteem? Jazakallah I await your feedback.
Wa Alaikum Assalaam,
A: If it is so thick that it is not normally the way the females have it, and it makes you look unfeminine, then it is allowed to remove it to the extent needed.
